Research Fellow Receives Award

Sophie Dann, Surgical Research Fellow at RAFT was honoured to receive the inaugural Healing Foundation AB Wallace Memorial Award. Sophie was congratulated on being the first recipient of what the Foundation believe will become a prestigious and sought after accolade.

The maximum donation of £5,000 will provide RAFT with an essential piece of equipment for the Artificial Skin project. The Laser Doppler machine is used to image new blood vessel formation within the integrating Smart Matrix Scaffold when it is placed on the wound bed in areas of full thickness skin loss.
