Flora London Marathon 2009

A MASSIVE thank you to all of our marathon runners who completed the last London Marathon to be sponsored by Flora which took place on Sunday.
You were all so fantastic - all 12 of you finishing with a time of less than 5hr 30mins.
Although the weather was slightly too warm I'm sure for the majority, it certain kept people spirits high and the support achieved from spectators was brilliant.
RAFT is so appreciative of all the time you each gave up to train, especially through the cold and snowy winter that we've had. Your fundraising efforts in aid of our vital research have been great and we are really grateful to all your kind supporters who have shown an interest in our work. Such a superb acheivement for each of you to complete the hot 26.2 mile London Marathon of 2009!

Next year's marathon will be kindly sponsored by Virgin and the ballot for 2010 entries is now open!
So if you were lazily watching on your television screens this year and feeling inspired, why not get the adrenaline rush of the real thing next year? Enter the ballot and if you are lucky enough to obtain a place, why not run for RAFT's research on 25th April 2010.
