Firemen Pulling for RAFT

On Saturday 26th July, Aldo Diana our Atlantic Challenger, organised a Fire Engine pull from Southall Fire Station to Ealing Broadway (approx 6 miles) to raise funds for RAFT and his challenge in December 2008. He was joined by willing Firemen from local stations to help pull the 'old style' Fire Engine on a very hot weekend.

RAFT's Veronica (Fundraising Officer) and Laura (Team Secretary) volunteered for the task - thinking it would be a stroll - before discovering they were expected to run alongside the fire engine in flip flops! As always, Veronica and Laura tackled this task with their customary cheerfulness and enthusiasm.

Buckets were taken along and raised £1,760.35. Well done to all who took part.
