Community Fundraising Challenges

We have lots of fantastic fundraisers taking part in a variety of exciting challenges over the coming months.

Charlotte Stovell is busy training for the Eurostar TriCityAthlon which is taking place on 14th September. Charlotte had to campaign hard to get both the public and judge vote to secure her place to represent the UK in this event. All taking place in one day - a 1.5km swim in Paris, then the 40km bike ride in Brussels and to finish a 10k run in Regents Park, London. This challenge is definately tough and we do hope you will sponsor Charlotte here so she can reach her £1,000 fundraising target for RAFT.

Ian Shakesphere has kindly chosen to support RAFT by challenging himself to complete the Great North Run on 19th September. Ian has had a long ambition to compete in this event, being originally from the North East and with a longstanding career in the Fire Service, Ian selected RAFT as one of his chosen charities to fundraise for. On 3rd October, Northamptonshire Fire & Rescue Service will be taking part in the Run '10 Northampton Race in aid of RAFT. Participants from the service are increasing each day and we are delighted that they have chosen to support RAFT's vital research in this way. Runners so far include; Jim Dorrill, Rob Porter, Terry Considine, Shaun Hallam, Simon Bryant, Julia Partridge, Staci Leach, Colin Wells.
