The forecast for the next few days is that the good weather has finally arrived. I'm sure everyone will be thinking of heading outside to enjoy the sunshine but just remember to stay safe by following these simple tips
Remember it's not just about avoiding sunburn. UVA also causes skin damage and you can take up to 1000 times more UVA than UVB before burning.
Ensure that any sunscreen you apply has UVA protection as well as UVB protection i.e. look for SPF + 15 and UVA protection.
If possible, stay in the shade between 11am and 3pm.
Try to cover up with a hat, t-shirt and sunglasses.
Don't rub your sunscreen in vigorously. For best results apply a two layers - a layer of moisturiser and then a layer of sunscreen only lightly rubbed in.
Have fun in the sun!
