Aldo Diana and Ken Maynard our Atlantic Challengers, organised a 36 hour Rowathon from 10am on Friday 5th - 10pm Saturday 6th September outside Chelsea Fire Station.
Despite the cold wind and rain, they tackled this task determined to raise as much money as they could. They continued to row for another 3 hours past the 36 hour mark! Passers by gave generously and were intrigued as to what was taking place.
Aldo and Ken had kind help from Thames Rowing Club and fellow Firefighters who helped fill their two-hour slots. Thank you also to Tony Nercessian at WaterRower for lending them the rowing machines.
Amount raised: £2,618. Well done for holding another successful event! More information on the Atlantic Challenge.
