2008 Flora London Marathon

A huge congratulations goes to all our runners who ran the Flora London Marathon on Sunday 13th April. All ran in under six hours – which is a fantastic achievement!
They should all be very proud of themselves, enduring the weather conditions, blisters, injuries and exhaustion all in aid of RAFT’s research. We are extremely grateful to everyone’s efforts and truly appreciate the month’s of training they put in to it.
Long time supporter of RAFT, Jack Taylor unfortunately had to withdraw from running this year, but we know he was cheering our runners on from home.
Gita Kelsey, Angela Seymour and Bob Jenkins were lucky enough to gain their own places in this years marathon, but very kindly chose to support RAFT – so a massive thank you to them!
Two of our runners, Aldo Diana & Ken Maynard were lucky enough to be interviewed by the BBC and to have TV coverage of their hand-made replica boat that will be used for their Atlantic Crossing in December 2008. Thank you all for your superb effort.
