Surgical Research Fellow, Sophie Dann took to the streets of London in
April 2008 along with her husband, Robert Biggs. Taking part in the
Flora London Marathon, they raised over £3500 and both completed the
run in really good times.
Nick Sheppard, Surgical Research
Fellow – who completed his two years’ research in October 2008 – raised
£632 for his research into Melanoma using another of his skills. Nick
combined his passion for the outdoors and meticulous surgical skills,
and created bespoke items in leather, wood and metal. These included
woodsman knives and leather pouches.
Carima Andrady, Research
Assistant took part in the Asics 10K London Run in July 2008, raising
£340 for her Skin Cancer - Prevention, Education & Cure work.
Liz Clayton, Research Histologist raised £130 in the first London Half Marathon, ‘Run to the Beat’ in October 2008.
Laura Ripley, Team Secretary, raised £956 in aid of RAFT’s research by completing a tandem skydive in August 2008.
