Jack Penn successfully completed the Paris Marathon on Sunday 5th
April. His aim was to conquer a time of less than 4 hours, and he did
so, with a fantastic time of 03:56:20! A great achievement, which
raised a total of £861 for RAFT.
Jack thoroughly enjoyed taking
part in the Paris marathon, taking in the sites of France along the way
– he did NOT however find dodging the mountains of banana skins
scattered along the 26 miles quite as enjoyable!
We are really
grateful to Jack for all his hard work in training and on the big day
itself. The continued interest and support of our vital research work
from Jack is so appreciated by us all. Jack, a student at Southampton
University spent the summer of 2008 working at RAFT, gaining valuable
research experience and seeing at first hand what we do here.
