We offer a range of ways in which you can donate to RAFT, and because every penny counts, we offer lots of ideas to make sure that your money is working as hard as it possibly can to help us.
We rely on donations from supporters like you to keep our vital work going. Regular monthly donations are a great help to RAFT, allowing us to make long-term plans. We’d be grateful for any help you can give, no matter how much or little you feel you are able to afford; even a donation of £3 a month helps future patients benefit from our research. And remember, if you Gift Aid your donation, RAFT can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you donate.
Thousands of people in workplaces all over the country are using Give As You Earn to support their favourite charities. Regular donations of this type enable us to make long-term plans. You benefit because you don’t pay any tax on the donations you make; if you’re a basic rate taxpayer, a gift of £5 only actually costs you £4, so you can pass the tax relief on to the charity. To find out more, contact us on email or call the Give As You Earn helpline on 01732 520 019.
Make a life-saving gift by remembering RAFT in your Will.
We all need to make a Will - it's the way to ensure that our possessions go to the people we want to have them. We all, of course, want to provide for our families but after that even a modest gift to RAFT will help us save lives.
RAFT is working to heal people through scientific discovery - please consider a gift to RAFT, however small to help us make a difference and plan for tomorrow.

Last year the Inland Revenue repaid £3 billion to several million taxpayers. More and more individuals are choosing to donate their tax repayments to charity, and we would be delighted if you would like to do the same. The Inland Revenue has made it easier to donate through self-assessment tax returns. If you use this scheme, your donation will be paid direct to RAFT's bank account and this can also be Gift Aided that will allow us to reclaim the tax you have already paid. It’s really simple to do – just enter RAFT's tax reference code no. XN 79466 on your self assessment form. Thanks so much for your support, which will enable us to carry out our vital work.

If you Gift Aid your donation it allows us to claim back 25p for every £1 you donate. You do not have to do anything apart from tick a box.
The charity reclaims tax on your gift only at the basic rate. However, if you are a higher rate taxpayer, you can claim the difference (20%) between the higher rate of tax of 40% and the basic rate of tax of 20% in your self-assessment form.
Please Note: As of 6th April 2008, the basic rate of income tax changed from 22% to 20%. Gift Aid claims will be paid at a transitional rate of 22% in 2008-09, 2009-10 and 2010-11. In practice, this means that we can continue to claim an extra 28p for every pound that is able to benefit from Gift Aid until 2011.
You must pay an amount of income tax and/or capital gains tax at least equal to the tax that RAFT reclaims on your donations in the tax year. If your circumstances change and you no longer pay tax on your income and capital gains equal to the tax that we claim, you can cancel your declaration at any time by notifying us.
If you are unsure whether your donation qualifies for Gift Aid tax relief, call Amanda Bailey on 01923 844371 or email bailey@raft.ac.uk, or alternatively ask your local tax office for leaflet IR113 Gift Aid.
If you’re a UK taxpayer, you can make your donations to RAFT worth even more at no extra cost to you just by choosing to Gift Aid it.
Club M was officially launched in April 2003 at a luncheon at the House of Lords, kindly hosted by Lord & Lady Ashcroft. The aim of the club is to bring together key supporters who take a special interest in RAFT's vital research to improve patient care. The funds generated (both received and pledged) enable RAFT to plan ahead safe in the knowledge that this group of donors are taking a special interest in the research and supporting RAFT into the future.
Club M members are kept closely informed of our progress and achievements, receive special advance notice of any RAFT events, and are invited to an exclusive Club M event each year. We meet at remarkable locations, which so far have included:
The House of Lords
10 Downing Street
Spencer House
Swiss Re London Headquarters at 30 St Mary Axe
National Grid Headquarters at Grand Buildings, London
Somerset House
Hunterian Museum at the Royal College of Surgeons of England
Club M now has over one hundred loyal members from all walks of life including fashion, finance, industry and media. We are a diverse and interesting group, and an excellent ‘club’ atmosphere has been established. “Before I came to RAFT the little I knew about Skin Cancer I disregarded and never associated it with myself. Now I can truly say I will be more cautious and aware about protecting my skin from the sun.”
