Francis has been a valued long term and active supporter of RAFT over several years. He brings with him his considerable business, strategic and financial expertise. Francis promotes and takes equity in strategic opportunities and is Chair of various business ventures. He is also currently non-executive Director of Petroleum Geo Services and a member of the CBI's Economic Affairs Committee.

James joined the Trustees in 2006, providing active involvement and much valued expertise and legal advice. James is a partner with London law firm Farrer & Co and specialises in advising individuals and charities about their assets and operations, both in the UK and abroad.

Since September 2004 Mark has been a proactive member of the RAFT Ball Committee and is now Chairman of the Events Committee for 2009. Mark is currently employed by Tradition where he has worked for over 23 years, rising from the position of Junior Broker to become a Director, where he specialises in off balance sheet interest rate business throughout the world. Tradition is the third largest Inter-dealer broker in the world with over 2200 employees worldwide. He was granted Freedom of The City of London in March 2001, appointed Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of World Traders in 2001, and elected to the Court of World Traders in 2006.
"Rarely does one find a cause so topical and applicable to everyday life, that benefits so many people now and in the future, to which everyone can make a tangible difference. Everyone knows someone who has or is suffering from burns, skin cancer or scarring. RAFT's work has a very real impact on the quality of everyday life for those people now and in the future."

Angela brings with her considerable experience and success in the fundraising and marketing arenas. Over the past 10 years, Angela has helped to secure over £20m for various UK charities including The World Transplant Games, Erskine Hospital, The Gordonstoun Schools and United World College of the Atlantic. She is currently Managing Director for Butterfly World Project.

After graduating from Trinity College Dublin medical school in 1981 Ciaran gained experience in a range of surgical specialties prior to commencing training as a Plastic Surgeon. After initially working in Burns and Plastic Surgery Units in South Wales, Bristol and London, he spent two years in full-time research into nerve injuries at the Middlesex Hospital Institute of Neurological Studies. He joined St Thomas' Hospital in 1996 as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon.

Sam became an early supporter of RAFT (when he was Chief Executive of Amerada Hess) after attending a RAFT reception at 11 Downing Street. With a long career in the oil and gas industry where burn injuries are a potential hazard, his ability to attract support for our work is remarkable. He is Chief Executive, Centrica plc.

Roger has been a long-term supporter of RAFT after suffering a burns accident over twenty years ago. He was involved in raising funds for our burns research before he became a member of the Trustees. After 26 years as an Investment Banker with JPMorgan Cazenove, one of the UK's leading investment banks, Roger is now a non-executive director of Young & Co's Brewery P.L.C.

Paul is a consultant medical oncologist at the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, Northwood, UK. His specialist interests are the treatment of malignant melanoma, renal cell carcinoma and drug development. He is a member of both the melanoma and renal cancer National Cancer Research Institute Clinical Studies Groups. Paul is secretary of the UK Melanoma Study Group and a member of the UK melanoma clinical guidelines group. He is chief and principal investigator on a large number of clinical trials at all stages of drug development. He is a member of advisory boards for a number of pharmaceutical companies and is associate editor for the journal "Therapeutic Advances in Medical Oncology"

Edward was formerly Chief Executive of International Financial Services, London, which promotes the export of UK financial services. He is now Chairman of a property investment company and brings excellent financial skills to RAFT's Trustees. With close family experience of reconstructive plastic surgery, Edward is committed to supporting RAFT's aims and objectives.
"I first became involved with RAFT when I heard about its research and development of new techniques in reconstructive plastic surgery. This was a field in which I had a close personal interest, and the outstanding work on tendon repair and hand surgery was unique to RAFT. I was impressed by the number of young surgeons in this field who had trained with the RAFT founders and who spoke so highly of the experience and knowledge they had gained."
